Hyderabad cops to ride Raptors to protect the streets
- Top Gear had 320CC Regal Raptor earlier and they had said that it is a great machine to cruise through the traffic.
- These Raptors will be equipped with speakers, beacons, GPS, surveillance and modern security systems as well.
FollowChinese firm Regal Raptors are manufacturing 10 customised bikes for Hyderabad Police. These mean machines are likely to make other police departments in the country envy as their patrolling bikes are not as fast as these.

These cruiser bikes are going to be used for emergency situations and the riders will get special training from Regal Raptors before they roll them out on the Hyderabad streets.
“Each bike costs about Rs 3 lakh. These high end bikes would be used in meeting emergency situations. For this purpose, a specially designated staff will be provided special training to ride on the bike by an expert to be provided by dealer of Regal Raptor,” a senior official of Hyderabad Police told The New Indian Express.

Top Gear had 320CC Regal Raptor earlier and they had said that it is a great machine to cruise through the traffic. However, Top Gear had even said that the bikes are a little overpriced but Telengana government are ok with it as it seems.
“What I suggest is the officials to take a few bikes initially and do some practice on the roads. If these bikes are useful in maintaining law and order, we can consider it to purchase in bulk,” Former principal secretary (Home) and retired DG-ranked officer PV Rangaiah Naidu raised some apprehensions.
