Bengaluru cops rescue 20 girls from Residency Road Bar

Bengaluru City Crime Branch police raided two Bars in the city on Monday night, namely Brigade Blue Bar and Nartaki Bar, on Residency Road, where 26 girls were rescued and all the staff members including the manager were arrested for allegedly forcing the girls into illegal activities.  

 

The police had specific information about the illegal activities and trafficking of girls from North East India in these bars and hence raided. 

 

Ashok Nagar and Cubbon Park police have filed complaints against the bars as girls were allegedly forced by the proprietors of the bar to get involved in illegal activities.

 

Cops have seized ₹2-lakh and 32 mobile phones from the spot. Cases of human trafficking and exploitation have been filed on these bars. 

 

The investigation was pending as police was yet to examine CCTVs of the bars.
