Drunken monkeys ‘capture’ DC office in Vijaypur

FollowNaughty monkeys are making good use of the alcohol bottles found in the surroundings of the DC’s office in Vijaypur.
The parking lot allotted behind the office has become a den of monkeys, who refuse to leave the place.
Why? The taste of alcohol, of course!
The monkeys are often spotted posing with a bottle on motorbikes parked there. Plus they engage in plenty of acrobatics on the cable wire draped over the tops of trees.
The adult monkeys are also accompanied by their children, who also seem to be high 24/7.
Naturally, their antics scare those who come to park or collect their bikes.
Those in the area say that the monkeys do not have any source of water to quench their thirst. Hence, they hunt down and collect bottles thrown in the surroundings, gather them behind the DC office and drink whatever is left in the bottle.
Now perhaps, even if they are supplied with water, it might not quench their thirst as effectively as the taste of alcohol.
Jokes aside, it is sad to note the condition of animals, who are far away from their natural abodes and do not find even basic needs like water.
We hope the authorities concerned take necessary measures to make water available them and hopefully rid them of their alcohol addiction.
