The sources said, that the police raided his house on Tuesday morning, after they traced prime suspect in APMC president Kadabegere Sreenivas's shootout case Vonte Rohit's call to Agni Sridhar's palatial bungalow at Kumaraswamy Layout.

Sridhar got furious as the police barged into his house accusing him of sheltering the prime suspect of shootout on Kadabagere Sreenivas. However, police did not find Rohit inside the house. The police instead arrested Sridhar's close associate Syed Amaan alias Bacchan.

"This led to altercation and Sridhar who used abusive words against officers irked Additional Commissioner Hemanth Nimbalkar who slapped and pushed Agni Sridhar. Due to this incident, Sridhar started showing signs of breathlessness, and soon he was shifted to Sagar Hospital where is undergoing treatment for a mild heart attack," said a source.

However, the police officers dismissed this news by saying, Sridhar was admitted to the hospital fearing arrest in connection with illegal arms, foreign liquor and possession of cash worth Rs 7 lakh and 418 grams of gold found at his house during the raid.

When Asianet Newsable tried to contact Agni Sridhar on his mobile number, he spoke in a husky voice and said that he cannot comment on the issue right now and needs few days to respond.
