Actor turned politician Ambareesh yesterday accepted that his decision to resign from MLA post was a hasty decision.

Recently the former minister had rebelled against CM Siddaramaiah and resigned from his post for dropping him from the ministry during the latest reshuffle.

On Sunday, BK Hariprasad, the General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) met Ambareesh at his JP Nagar residence and had a dialogue with him about his resignation.

It is said that during the conversation he expressed his umbrage towards CM Siddaramaiah. During the meeting Hariprasad urged to the rebel leader to rethink his decision to resign and assured that he will raise his concern to the high command.

After the meeting, while speaking to the media, Ambareesh said that the high command has always taken him into its confidence and he clarified that he is not upset with the high command. Further he added that resigning from his post was a hasty decision.

He thanked his Mandya voters for electing him to office. While thanking Mandya people he said that the people of Mandya have chosen him as MP for three times and now they have chosen as the MLA of its constituency. “I’ll discuss with Mandya people and then announce my final decision” he added.
