Darshan and Rana Daggubati to battle it out in Kurukshetra

The multi-starrer mega-budget film Kurukshetra will have Rana Daggubatti play Bhim. Kurukshetra will be the most expensive film to be made in Sandalwood.

Rana Daggubatti was last seen in ‘Baahubali – 2’ which raked in more than Rs 1000 crores in the box office. The audience loved his villainous role as Bhallaladeva. He has now been roped in to play ‘Bhim’, one of the Pandava brothers in the film based on Mahabharat.

‘Challenging Star’ Darshan will be seen as ‘Duryodhana’. The actor is getting back together with ace director Naganna after the historical epic ‘Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna’, which was the highest grossing Kannada film of its time.

According to sources, Dr Ambareesh will play the role of ‘Bheeshma’ and ‘Crazy Star’ V Ravichandran will play the role of ‘Yudhishtira’.

Recently, Darshan concluded a photo shoot for the film at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.

The climax of the film will have Rana’s and Darshan’s characters going head-to-head in an epic battle. Kurukshetra is Darshan’s 50th film.
