Save the date of March 21, as the French ministry of foreign affairs and international development is hosting the third edition of its annual global culinary festival, Gout de France meaning Good France.

This one-day global food festival will see 2000 chefs spread across 5 continents simultaneously creating a mouth-watering gourmet French cuisine menu at selected restaurants. The food lovers will get to relish aperitif and canapés, entree, main course(s), cheese platter, dessert, and of course, French wines and champagnes.

The third edition of this festival has selected more than 65 restaurants across India, and in Chennai, three restaurants will play the hold of this France food fiesta. The three restaurants chosen for Gout de France are Prego, Six O One, and The Square. These venues have been selected for promoting Gastronomic meal of the French, a dining ritual that has been featured on the Intangible Heritage List of UNESCO.

The aim of this festival is to promote and popularise this cuisine, and it has been launched by the French ministry of foreign affairs and international development under the patronage of renowned chef Alain Ducasse. Ducasse is the one who selects the participating restaurants for this festival.

Apart from Chennai, a couple of restaurants in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Puducherry, Delhi and few other cities have been selected for hosting this festival.
