Challenging star Darshan gets 7 day deadline to vacate house

Bengaluru Deputy Commissioner (DC) V Shankar has clarified that actor Dashan’s house and ex-minister Shamanur Shivashankarappa’s hospitals are constructed on the stormwater drain.

Thus following the state government’s demolition drive, the actor and minister have been given a deadline of a week to vacate the house and hospital, respectively.

The government will seize the place. The state will decide the future course, said DC Shankar.

Earlier, a notice was served by the district administration on September 29 and had given the Sandalwood star and the ex-minister seven days to provide documents after which the Palike was to take over the properties

The district administration finally has issued a 'demolition' notice to Sandalwood actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and former Minister Shamanur Shivashankarappa for encroaching upon the storm water drain (SWD) and another government land in Ideal Homes Layout and Raja Rajeshwari Nagar respectively.

In August, BBMP took up massive demolition drive after a survey report prepared by the joint director of land records, which confirmed that 69 properties are sitting on drains or other public spaces.
