Cauvery row Kannada stars Sudeep Yash Prakash Raj bat for peace

Amidst the growing unrest in Karnataka over the sharing of the Cauvery water with Tamil Nadu, Sandalwood stars Yash, Sudeep and Prakash Raj made an appeal to protesters to shun violence and requested them to seek justice peacefully.

 

Currently shooting for his film Hebbuli in Kashmir, actor Sudeep also tweeted asking the people of Karnataka not to be violent. 

 

He replied strongly to a person who tried to pick a fight with him on Twitter.

 

 

“Situation needs to calm down and justice is required. But this will only further delay everything. Request all not to tweet any provoking lines,” one of his tweets read.

 

Actor Yash also requested the people of Karnataka not to take the law into their own hands. "Setting things on fire will not yield any positive results. There is nothing above humanity," he said.

 

He posted a video saying the same on Facebook:

 

"Let us not allow fringe elements to hijack our peaceful fight towards our rightful share of #Cauvery waters," he said. 
 

 

 

Yash is currently shooting in Norway for his film ‘Santhu Straight Forward’. "Please do not post disturbing videos on social websites and do not mislead common people," he said.

 

"Let us all fight for the rights of farmers, let us fight for the cause peacefully," he added.

 

A popular actor in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films, Prakash Raj said, “It is sad that people of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have chosen violence to stage a protest,” he said.

 

 He requested people to stop setting things on fire and assaulting people. In a video posted on social media, Prakash said:
