BJP begins 'Vijaya Yatra' from Kannur

BJP starts Victory Journey

Celebrating the victory of  O Rajagopal, its first ever MLA in Kerala, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) began a victory march from Payyambalam in Kannur on Tuesday.

Inaugurating the march at Mararji Smriti Mandapam,  BJP state secretary Kummanam Rajasekharan said the change at Nemom should reflect in across the state.

Titled 'Vijay Yatra', (Victory March) the campaign tour will cover every district in the state except Idukki and Wayanad.

O Rajagopal said his victory is a sweet revenge against both the LDF and the UDF leadership that joked that the BJP will have to take a gallery ticket to enter the Legislative Assembly.

The march will conclude at Thiruvananthapuram on June 2, the day the newly elected MLAs would take the oath.

O Rajagopal defeated his rival CPM candidate V Sivankutty in Nemom constituency by a margin of 8,671 votes in the Assembly Elections held this month.
