Further investigation has revealed that a three-year-old wasn't the only victim of Manjunath, a play school supervisor arrested for sexually assaulting her. Police say he had molested at least six other toddlers. Six separate FIRs have been filed against Manjunath, who has been working for the school for the past eight years. He has been arrested under the POCSO act.

According to Deccan Chronicle report, the parents claim that they had to wait until 4 AM to lodge the FIR, which the police have denied. Parents reportedly met the Commissioner Praveen Sood and asked the principal Veena to be booked too. Parents are worried if they will get justice because the principal of the school is the daughter of an MLC.

Moreover, the government agencies have now locked horns over who will take the responsibility. None of the departments in the state government are willing to initiate action against the school.

According to the report, the Department of Public Instruction and the Department of Women and Child Welfare are fighting over who will take action against the facility. Department of Public Instruction isn't initiating any action as the school is a franchise and conducts classes only up to UKG, which means it doesn’t require DDPI permission. On the other hand, officials expect the Women and Child Welfare Department to take the charge, which can do so only after completion of police investigation.

Meanwhile, the school has been suspended by the franchise, and fees of 178 students needs to be refunded, followed by finding new schools for these students.
