Nine end up in jail because of bail

  • Nine-member notorious team had released more than 150 accused on fake bail

Anjana Reddy, 41, HS Kumar, 28, D Kumar,22, Harinath Reddy, 27, Sudharani, 26, advocate Prasanna, 47, Venkatesh, 51, Srinivas, 45, and Shivaraj, 38 have been arrested.

 

Praveen Sood, Commissioner of Police told in the press meet that the accused have deceived the courts of Chikkaballapur, Tumkur, Bengaluru, Bengaluru Rural District. The police have seized fake ID cards, Aadhaar Card and other documents from them. An advocate, who is one of the accused, was helping the gang in its activities.

 

Police have also seized a diary from Harinath Reddy, the prime accused. The diary has destils of helping more than 150 accused with fake bail documents Police sources have said that the gang has produced fake bails in more than 500 cases. The team is said to have charging Rs 3,000 to 5,000 per case. The police estimate that the gang had made lakhs with this trick.

 

Bengaluru Nine end up in jail because of bail

 

The prime accused, Harinath Reddy had obtained a SIM card using the documents of a deceased. The SIM card was issued in the name of Narasimhulu, resident of Jayanagar in Bengaluru. Narasimhulu had died long ago and the police were unable to trace Harinath Reddy.

 

Finally the CCB police contacted Harinatha Reddy over the phone, in the guise of persons seeking bail. Harinath immediately agreed to the deal and met the police at a specified place. Thus the police arrested him and all those who involved in the con business. His wife Sudharani and Prasanna Kumar, an advocate were also arrested.
