Bengaluru Darshans house Ministers hospital to be razed

After dilly-dallying for a while, it now seems like the Bengaluru district administration has finally settled on the proper records of the buildings constructed over stormwater drains.

Thus recently, V Shankar, Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru Urban announced that actor Darshan’s house and former Karnataka minister Shivashankarappa’s hospital are among the buildings which will be razed or seized.

The City administration will take 7 acres and 31 guntas of land under its purview, which includes Darshan’s house at the Ideal Homes Layout and R Chennabasappa (RC) Hospital in Rajarajeshwari Nagar.

Speaking to Suvarna News in this regard, Bengaluru DC Shankar said that soon notices would be served to the owners living on the encroached land.

The high-profile encroachments were highlighted by media reports published earlier, which made public how Darshan’s house and the minister’s hospital were built on stormwater drains.

Survarna News released a report by Joint Director of Land Records Department K Jayaprakash, confirming this.

Some days ago, reacting to the reports, Darshan had said that he would abide by the decision of the government and the law.
