In a shocking incident, a babysitter was found murdered with her throat slit at an Anganwadi in Munnar. The woman was hacked in front of the infants in broad daylight.

The deceased is Rajaguru, 41, wife of Manikantan a tourist guide from Gundumala estate.
The incident took place about 12.30 pm, and the parents who came to collect the children found the body in a pool of blood in the kitchen of the Anganwadi at Kannan Devan Hills Plantations. About ten children, of labourers from Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu, were at the creche when the caretaker was murdered.
A gold chain worth 12 sovereigns was also lost, and police doubt that the woman was murdered during a robbery attempt. It is suspected that non-Keralite robbers are behind the crime.
The police have registered a case and have launched an investigation into the incident. Several migrant labourers are working in the area, and it is suspected that they might have committed the heinous crime.
