Asianet Newsable’s reality check on some of these message centres over the phone has revealed that there is something fishy in the services they are offering. We found that sex is being sold under the guise various massages.
The people who always managed to stay away from the clutches of police operate from different numbers and do not hesitate to list the kind of services that are offered under the guise of body massage.
Worse, these centres have enrolled themselves on multiple platforms like Justdial and other websites which are easily accessible to youngsters, especially teenagers.
When Asianet Newsable had phone conversation with a number sourced through Just-dial, a lady answered the phone. She said that there were two places in the service - Fab Spa and Saloon, apart from offering massages under Ayurveda, Thai, Swedish, the lady said the centre also offers 'special' service.
"We have girls from all over India. We provide body to body massage. The cost varies depending on the age and figure. The starting price is from ₹3,000," said the women without any hesitation or suspicion .
Ignore the message, says Police
An official from City Crime Branch said, that these kinds of massage and offers should be taken seriously and people should not go to try out such things. There are possibilities of people getting mugged and blackmailed by those who run the sex racket.
"We have activated our source and information network in this regard and are keeping a close watch on such messages and advertisements on phone and websites," an Assistant Commissioner of Police from City Crime Branch Said.
