Of all places, this couple gets married in an ambulance!

In the day of destination marriages, couples are choosing aeroplanes, the bottom of the sea, gliding in parachutes and many other epic ways to vow themselves into wedlock. But here’s something new -- in Chitradurga district, Karnataka, a couple got married in an ambulance.

Netravathi of Monakalmur taluk and Guruswamy of Challakere taluk have been in love for one year now. There was a small misunderstanding between them and they went to the historical forts of Chitradurga, which is located at the top of a hill, to sort out their lovers’ tiff. Unfortunately, during the reconciliation, Netravathi slipped and fell from the hill and broke her hip.

When she was admitted to the hospital, Guruswamy changed his mind and refused to marry her. However, the elders of both the families convinced him to get married.

When he relented, Netravathi was brought in immediately to the Murugha Math in Chitradurga in an ambulance and they were married off in the ambulance itself. The pontiff of the math was also present for this marriage and blessed the couple.
