Technical snag: Kochi-bound AI flight makes emergency landing at Mangaluru airport

A Kochi-bound Air India flight made an emergency landing at Mangaluru airport owing to technical snag. The flight had 58 passengers and crew on board and was coming from Mumbai. 
 

"The Mumbai-Kochi Air India Flight made an emergency landing at Mangaluru airport at 7. 50 pm owing to technical issues," an airport official said. 
 

However, the official declined to give any details on the nature of technical snag. 
 

The passengers would be flown to Kochi once the issue is resolved. Engineers are looking into the issue and are expecting to solve the problem at the earliest. The passengers would be flown to the onward destination as soon the issue is rectified, the official said.
