Made by the Nakshatra Productions, the Aigiri Nandini is close to three lakh views on the YouTube.

The song is produced by Shreenath Kulal from Nungambakkam, who lives at Ujire in Udupi. The video is interesting as it shows women of all walks of life doing their day-to-day chores. The life in its simple ways makes the song look more effective and close to the heart.

Aigiri Nandini is a devotional stotra in Sanskrit written in reverence to Chamundi (in South) and Maa Durga (in North India). AIgiri Nandini, Nanditha Medini means ‘The daughter of mountain and joy of world”. It sings the praise of Devi Chamundi/Durga who killed Mahishasura, a demon as projected by the scared scriptures.
