Days after a late night attack against a Malayalam actress, allegations that a larger conspiracy was behind the attack has been shared both by sources and the police, who are investigating members of the Kerala film fraternity.
As per sources, the victim fell out with a major actor and producer sometime ago. It is alleged that the star himself paid Pulsar Suni (so far the prime accused). But the police have refused to make the name of the accused actor public. The actress is reported to have named him before the magistrate who took her statement.

Meanwhile, Pulsar Suni has applied for an anticipatory bail. The police have also found out that a producer had called Suni over his phone. In fact, Suni had got a call just minutes before the attack.
The actress was on her way to Thrissur from Kochi on Friday night after completing the shooting. Her vehicle was blocked near Nedumbassery airport by Pulsar Suni and five associates. The actress alleged that the gang sexually assaulted her for two hours.
Pulsar Suni was the actress’ former driver, and she had removed him from the job some time ago. Police suspect that Suni had joined hands with Martin, the current driver of the actress, have may plotted the attack as revenge or as part of a blackmail plot.
Sources claimed that Suni was blackmailing the actress for Rs 30 lakh. Police speculate that the plot was hatched over a month ago.
