Complaint against actor Suriya for slapping football player

Premkumar, a 21-year-old first division football player from Chennai has lodged a complaint at Sastri Nagar Police Station against actor Suriya for slapping him
According to one version of the incident, Suriya was passing through Adyar Road in Chennai when he noticed that the road was blocked by a crowd watching two youngsters quarrelling with a woman.
On further enquiry, the actor was told that Premkumar and his friend Lenin lost control of the two-wheeler they were riding and struck a car from behind. Soon, the lady driving the car and the two bike passengers began to exchange heated words.
Actor Suriya decided to take matters into his own hand and confronted the arguing trio. Apparently believing that the men were in the wrong for shouting at the woman, Suriya slapped the men and asked the woman to leave.
Suriya’s manager denied this version of the story, claiming that though Suriya had indeed stopped by during the quarrel, he had immediately called the police and left his assistant to resolve the issue. The manager said Suriya left the area without any incident from his end.
The Sastri Nagar police have filed the complaint and are investigating.
