Jayalalithaa aide, political analyst Cho Ramaswamy no more

Actor journalist political analyst Cho Ramaswamy Dies

Former BJP Rajya Sabha member, a political analyst, a senior journalist and the editor of the Thuglak magazine, Cho Ramaswamy passed away at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai early morning on Wednesday.

 

Ramaswamy was known for his fearless criticism. He did not step back once while criticising the ruling government at the state or the centre.

 

He was also a close friend of the deceased 19th Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa. Not only the Iron Lady, Ramaswamy had good equations with a number of politicians throughout the nation.

 

Ramaswamy was undoubtedly a multi-faceted personality. He was also a scriptwriter for Tamil plays and has acted and directed over 20 Tamil plays. The veteran senior play writer has also acted in 180 movies alongside MG Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, Jayalalithaa, Kamaal Hassan, Rajnikanth and others.

 

Chennai has been going through a terrible phase indeed. On Monday it was Jayalalithaa and on Wednesday, it was Ramaswamy, who died at the age of 82.
