Public in Bengaluru went all out against the idea of steel flyover that was proposed by the state government. Just when the state was pushed against the wall, another fancy project idea has surfaced which is said to be worth a whopping ₹ 20,000 crore. A 110 km elevated corridors crisscrossing the city of Bengaluru is expected to ease the traffic pressure all over the city.

The idea behind this is to make the private and personal cars and bikes on to these flyovers so that the traffic beneath the elevated corridors gets unclogged easily.

Approximately 66 lakh cars ply on Bengaluru streets and more cars add to it as many of them come in from the other states as well. This leads to massive traffic congestions at major interjections across the city of Bengaluru.

Car owners in the city of Bengaluru will be glad to know that they can rapidly transit across the city in 45 minutes flat. This is something that the car owners in Bengaluru cannot even imagine in their wildest dreams currently because of the kind of traffic they face every single day.

However, traffic and mobility experts have stated that every flyover in this city to decongest major areas have failed miserably to ease pressure off traffic in Bengaluru. They have even referred to this project as ‘unsustainable’ as they think that it is not going to make much of a difference and one never knows even if this project gets a green signal, when will the work be complete.
