Mohanlal released the official trailer of his upcoming movie 1971 Beyond Borders'. The actor will be seen reprising the role of Major Mahadevan.

This is the fourth film in which he is doing the character of Major Mahadevan, previous being Keerthi Chakra, Kurukshetra and Kandahar. The film is set for release on April 7.

The official trailer looks like the characters are clothed in sheer patriotism. The film is a peep into Major Mahadevan's endeavours on the war front, and the shots are quite impressive.

Unlike the teaser that gave a messy feeling, the trailer focuses on that the film wants to convey. It promises the never-seen-before battle front sequences in Malayalam films. It even features a fierce tank battle between India and Pakistan and the action scenes are shot in the actual artillery firing zone.
