Markets soar, Sensex up 300 points

The BSE Sensex ended with a gain of 292 points at 28,095. The benchmark indices opened at 27,754 touched an intra-day high of 28,110 and low of 27,736.51.
The NSE Nifty closed 94 points higher at 8,636 points said a report in IndiaInfoline . It opened at 8,520 points, hitting a high of 8,641 and low of 8,517.
At 3:19 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 28,094 up 291 points, while NSE Nifty was trading at 8,580 up 39 points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index was trading up 1.03% at 12,403, whereas BSE Small-cap Index was trading up 1.03% at 12,231.
 SBI, HDFC, Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank, ONGC and Sun Pharma were among the gainers, whereas Dr.Reddy's, Axis Bank, Bajaj Auto, HUL, Tata Steel and GAIL lost sheen on BSE.
All sectors were trading in a positive zone. Some buying activity was seen in consumer durables,realty, finance, banking and industrial sectors showed gainers on BSE.
Out of 1,839 stocks traded on the NSE, 421 declined, 1,135 advanced and 284 remained unchanged on Monday
A total of 81 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 13 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
