IT, Software, BPO sectors will see most hiring in Karnataka in 2017

According to the India Hiring Intent Survey of 2017, Karnataka will witness 5% to 10% increase in hiring in IT, software, BPO/KPO, ITES sectors next year. 

This survey also unveils that the preferred age group to get hired in IT and software sector will be 26 to 29 years, and for BPO/KPO and ITES sector the preferred age group will be 22 to 25 years. In short, these sectors will be looking for young candidates to hire. 

The male-female hiring ratio will be 70.71% male and 29.29% female in software and IT sector and 62.63% male and 37.37% female in BPO/KPO and ITES sector. 

This survey was done as part of India Skills Report 2017, jointly prepared by PeopleStrong, a HR solutions and HR technology company, Wheebox, a global talent assessment company, Linkedin, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Association of Indian University (AIU),  All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
