The latest development in the Ratan Tata and Cyrus Mistry feud is that the latter has been removed from the position of Director of Tata Industries.

Mistry was voted out from the position by the majority of shareholders at the recent Tata Industries Extraordinary General Meeting or EGM.

Tata Sons, on the ground that Mistry's presence as the director will 'lead to fragmentation of the Tata Group', appealed to its shareholders to remove him the company board.

Though Mistry has been removed as the chairman of the Tata Sons in October, but he still is a board member in some group companies and it is expected that six Tata Group companies will be hosting more such meetings to remove Cyrus Mistry from the group.
