This is the ninth edition of the HSBC Expat Explorer: Achieving Ambitions Abroad has been prepared after taking inputs from approximately 27,000 expats from around the world and include 3092 expats in UAE.
This survey examines specific categories to access the condition of the host countries of the expats. These categories are the opportunity to acquire new skills, work culture, work-life balance, career progression, perks and benefits, fulfilling work, and earning prospects.
As per the survey, UAE is one of the top destination due to the earning prospects and benefits package offered in the country by the employers. One of the primary aspects of working in UAE that draws many from across the world is that the average salary package in this country is 14% higher than the global average.
Additional perks and benefits are also huge incentives for the expats working and living in UAE. Accommodation allowance and health benefits as part of the salary package are common in this country.
In terms of career progression, UAE has been ranked as 8th best in the world by this survey and the top position in this category has been grabbed by Hong Kong, Singapore, UK and the US.
