Banks bring out 'ATM-on-wheels' to ease public woes!

Are you one of those people who are waiting outside an ATM in a never-ending queue? Canara bank, Punjab National Bank and Dena Bank just might have reduced all your stress that people have generally been going through ever since Narendra Modi has announced his ‘surgical strike’ on nation’s black money and demonetised higher currency notes.

Canara Bank were one of the banks to roll out a mobile ATM in the city of Bengaluru and that has definitely brought smiles in the faces of people waiting to withdraw cash.

It came as a surprise to people in MG Road in Bengaluru on Monday, where almost 800 people could withdraw cash from the mobile ATM.

The same effort has been carried out by Punjab National Bank in New Delhi as well. A Punjab National Bank mobile-ATM van was spotted near ITPO, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Monday evening.   

Dena bank also deployed a mobile ATM on Worli Sea Front in Mumbai on Sunday.

Mobile ATMs are being deployed in several remote areas after the nation has been hit severely after the Indian Prime Minister decided to discontinue 500 and 1000 rupee notes last week.
