Recently, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley even gave reasons why Aadhaar card is mandatory for transactions. According to the new rules, Aadhaar card is compulsory for applying for Permanent Account Number (PAN) and for filing income tax returns.

Now any pre-existing PAN number without Aadhaar card will also become invalid. This means the taxpayers must provide their Aadhaar number to tax authorities.

This mandatory ruling has not gone down well with people who are forced to change their identity cards once in three months. Thus, a new rumour is doing the rounds among people that the day is not far when even to apply for an Aadhaar card the authorities will ask for an aadhaar card as the reference document.

Authorities even might tell us, it is Supreme Court’s order and we cannot do anything, get your Aadhaar card first. Jokes, apart, people are still wondering if this will ever be true, the answer is no… this is strictly a rumour and a way people are venting out their anger.
