ORANGE YOU GLAD IT AINT YOU


Where: In a town called Ivrea in Italy.
Why: The people come together to celebrate Ivrea’s victory over a tyrant.
How: Nine people make up a team, and compete against other teams. There are judges to determine the winner.
When: In February ever year. The carnival days where this food fight takes place is on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Where: Galaxadi in Greece
Why: To celebrate the first day of lent according to the Greek Orthodox Church
When: March
How: Much like the Indian festival of Holi, the Greeks come together and throw coloured flour at friends, family and others.

Why: To celebrate the tuna industry
