There are many people out there who pull off some dangerous and crazy stunts and 88-year-old Betty Bromage is one of them. This English resident took part in a death defying activity called wing-walking and has now become Britain’s oldest female to do so.

Interestingly, Bromage broke her own record. Last year, at 87, she was the still the oldest woman to wing walk.

Now, many of you might be wondering what wing walking is about. Well, it’s an extreme sport that originated in the UK in the 1920s. A person walks on the wings of an airplane when it’s flying in the sky. Nowadays, people are strapped to the wings of the airplane.

Bromage, living in a retirement home in Cheltenham, was tied to the wings of vintage biplane and soared over Gloucestershire Airport, according to BBC.

The former nurse, rejuvenated from the experience said that it was a bit “windy” but overall, the experience was “lovely,” in her words.

If Bromage wants to become the oldest wing walker, she still has to contend with Thomas Lackey from Ireland. He was 95 when he broke the world record in 2013 and found the experience “refreshing.”
