Under 25 Summit: The coolest barbecue in the country

 

 

But the barbeque bike has something even more special - an amazing royal Enfield bullet with attached griller!

 

The brainchild of Arun Varma, Nijesh Nair and Krishna Varma, the setup is simple enough. They have a brand new 500 cc Bullet Classic with a barbeque grill attached as a side car. 

 

"It's the only one of its kind in the world," Arun proudly declared, sitting astride the bike. 

On offer are chicken drumsticks, grilled pineapple (a favourite apparently), barbeque burger and chicken rolls. 

 

The trio, who have been in the food truck / catering business, apparently came up with the idea over a year. 

While the families were initially sceptical, with many sarcastic comments being tossed about, once they saw the finished product they were amazed.  As would be almost anyone who takes a look. 

 

"People stop and stare on the roads, the attention is nice but it is sometimes embarrassing, " Arun said. 

 

And yes, the set up is road worthy and driven from location to location. 

 

Nijesh shared future plans. They are hoping to make it into a large-scale franchise. 

 

"Three people have already taken up the franchise," Nijesh said, adding that those who took up the franchise are given the complete set - brand new bike and all. 

 

The fledgeling enterprise is also in talks with various investors and hope to expand soon. 

 

Arun's advice to young enterepurenrs is never back out of what you want to do. Young advice indeed, as Arun is himself only 22 years old.
