Watch: This is how India should learn to lay its roads

  • A road being laid in an Australian outback has been viewed over 16 million times on Facebook
  • It's incredibly satisfying to watch
supreme road laying skills from this viral outback video

Indian road authorities could seriously take a page out of this book where road laying is concerned. They are pros at digging out perfectly good roads, but when it comes to fixing it, it’s like driving or walking on Mars.

This simple drone footage was taken at rural outback Moora in Western Australia where a road being laid became an overnight Internet sensation with over 16 million views.

It has been shared over 398 thousand times, with over 5.8k comments.  And for good reason, it's like watching an artist at work, with the muddy road being its canvas.

According to Yahoo Australia, the Moora Shire Council Chief Executive Alan Leeson had initially thought  that their Facebook page was hacked. “I suggested we film the work because a lot of people don't have a perspective about how roads are bituminised... we thought it was a good opportunity to show what we do. “We sped the video up... the original goes for about 15 minutes.”
