Want some rest and downtime, and far away from the maddening crowd -  then head to these beaches for some quiet R&R.
 

 

Here are some beaches to check out:

 

 

Secret Beach, Alleppey:

Inviting waters, shady-lined trees, what’s not to love? Gaze into the wide expanse and look at fisherman doing their thing. Have a picnic on the beach, and don’t forget to clean up.


 

Butterfly Beach, Goa:

Home to many beaches, this Butterfly Beach is blanketed by thick foliage and is nestled in a cove.  It is located just north of Palolem. It has white sandy beaches that are clean and joy to stroll as the waves gently lap your feet, and aquamarine waters that are inviting to swim.

 

 

Serenity Beach, Pondicherry:

If swimming and surfing are your thing, then head on over here.  Also, it’s recommended that you carry a large umbrella if you head out during the day, although it’s ideal to go in the evening when the sun is not harsh.

 

 

Radhanangar Beach, Andamans:

If you want to experience a slice of paradise, then the white soft sands, and its pristine water will give you just that, and dotted with lush greenery. You can get here using government-run ferries or luxury boats.


 

St Mary’s Beach, Karnataka:

Also called ‘Coconut Island’, this beautiful beach is a 20-minute boat ride away from Malpe. History says that Vasco De Gama discovered this island en route to Kochi.  What makes this island famous is the presence of a volcano that gave rise to this island. It’s rock formations of basalt gives rise to this theory. It’s ideal for a day spend.
