Kim Jong un fathers third child but where is his wife

North Korea, Tuesday, fired a missile over northern Japan in a move Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called an "unprecedented" threat to his country. The missile flew over Hokkaido island before crashing into the sea.

Amid heightened tensions in North Korea, the ‘Supreme Ruler’ as the North Korean dictator Kim Jong un is better known, has a reason to celebrate. Kim Jong un has become a dad for the third time.

Like the earlier two times this birth too is shrouded in secrecy. Jong un’s wife Ri Sol Ju keeps surfacing and disappearing from public eye. Back in December 2016 reports emerged of Kim Jong un wife Ri Sol Ju giving her first public appearance after nearly eight months of disappearance from the scene. She again went low-key and then again was seen on in public in July at a banquet in Pyongyang. It was the time when North Korea was celebrating the firing of its Intercontinental Ballistic Missile.

At that time news reports and not even the Korean media hinted at the impending pregnancy. Now the dictator is presumed or reported to have had a third child with wife Ri Sol Ju. According to reports in foreign media, this news was seen in South Korea’s spy agency, the National Intelligence Service , news agency Yonhap.

In fact, the baby was supposed to have been born in February this year, with the world coming to know now. In 2012 Ri Sol Ju was spotted with a baby bump at an official function and in 2013 basketball star and dear friend of Kim Jong un, Dennis Rodman revealed that the first lady of North Korea had given birth to a baby girl in 2013. So they may be trying for a son because daughters cannot be heirs in North Korea. With the birth of their third child, the sex of the baby remains unknown.

The North Korean dictator likes to keep his private life extremely guarded and not much is known about his family. What is known, however, is that he has a famous temper and even family is not spared from it. He commands utmost loyalty and is known to rule with an iron fist.
