Foo Fighters released their new song Run on Thursday morning and listening to it makes you go all nostalgic

In the video, Foo Fighters play an elderly group performing the song in a retirement home, inciting its residents to break out and storm a car full of millennials. It’s the band’s first new release since the 2015 EP Saint Cecilia.

The group stayed in the house for the video as it was directed by frontman Dave Grohl.

Last year, the music grapevine was abuzz with news of the group breaking up and Dave Grohl going solo and this was their reply.

Foo Fighters first started in 1994 as the one-man project of Grohl, following the dissolution of Nirvana after the suicide of that band’s frontman, Kurt Cobain. Over the course of the next two decades, the Foos became a proper band, released eight studio albums (including the stone-cold classic The Colour and the Shape in 1997), and ascended to a level of fame not common among rock acts in the 21st century.

Listeners of the band may remember some of their greats like: Learn to Fly from There is nothing left to lose and Walking after you from The Colour and The Shape
