In Japan, female dolls have taken over as girlfriends

  • Japanese men are finding true love in female dolls.
  • This love has come at the cost of their relationship with their family.
  • However, these men say that they will never have a relationship with a real human being anymore.
In Japan the new trend is to sleep with a female doll

Japan has been witness to some bizarre trends in relationships and the latest craze revolves around life-size female dolls. Japanese men have found ‘true love’ with these rubber sized impressions of human beings and what’s more, they sleep with them on the same bed.

Masayuki, a 45-year-old physiotherapist Masayuki Ozaki felt the love extinguish between him and his wife. The two stopped spending intimate time in bed after they had a daughter. It was during this time that Ozaki watched a life-size female sex toy in a shop. For him, it was love at first sight.

He brought the toy home and introduced her as Mayu to his family. In an interview with AFP, he said that his wife and daughter were at first disgusted with the idea but have now begun to understand him.

He added that he’s found true love with Mayu as Japanese women are cold hearted. “They're very selfish. Men want someone to listen to them without grumbling when they get home from work,” Ozaki said.

In comparison, his relationship with Mayu borders on “true love.” The doll’s best quality? That she’s always there when he comes home. “I can't imagine going back to a human being. I want to be buried with her and take her to heaven.”

Ozaki’s view was echoed by 62-year-old Senji Nakajima who has named his girlfriend Saori. He said he would never date human being as they’re greedy and want something. In his words, human beings are heartless.

While Nakajima may have found true love like Ozaki, their relationship with the doll has come at a cost. Nakajima’s family hasn’t really accepted it. While his son has accepted it, his daughter can’t bear the idea.
