One of the worst things about travelling is carrying or lugging your baggage around. This is especially true if you’re a heavy packer.  Sometimes, your (well-worn out) straps give way or your strolley handle gets stuck at the most inopportune moment.

If you’ve ever wished to travel hands-free, then your wishes can now be a reality.

Meet the COWAROBOT 1: The first and only robotic suitcase.

According to the crowd-funding site, Indigogo, this suitcase is “fully autonomous smart suitcase, which follows its user while avoiding obstacles in its path. We have merged ‘high tech’ with the suitcase, in hopes that our new creation will allow people to travel more conveniently.

So how does it work?

It is said to have a CO-EYE, CO-MOVE AND CO-SMART features that makes the suitcase what it is. The CO-EYE has a set of inbuilt sensors for cliff and water obstacles, while the CO-MOVE takes place when data is relayed back to it. It is controlled through an R1 bracelet, wherein a simple double-tap cues the bag to move.

The CO-SMART features an enabled GPS, portable charging port and an intelligent lock
