It’s important to be mindful of what you are eating. Opt for good, nutritious and healthy food.  Ensure that you have a balanced meal that is high in proteins, omega fats, and lean fats. You can on occasions, have a cheat meal. But by and large, stick and be very deliberate and focussed on your diet.

 It goes without saying, a well-rested sleep is good for mind and body. An adult is expected to get 7-8 hours of good sleep. When you skimp on your sleep, your hormones get affected, especially fat-regulating hormones called leptin and grhelin.

The best way to lose weight is to have a healthy balance between your food and exercise.  Exercise is a must. It needs to be a disciplined lifestyle.  Incorporate a daily cardio workout – be it walking, swimming, cycling or jogging.  Ensure that you walk for at least 30-45 minutes a day. Also, it’s a good idea to switch up your exercise, so you don’t get bored. Also include weight resistance training as well.
