Jobs are constantly evolving and changing over the years. A few years ago people scoffed at the idea of social media, and look where it is now.

Ever wondered what the hottest jobs to look out for in 2017 are? Here are what the trends indicate: 

Web Developers:  Digital platforms are evolving thick and fast across all industries, so it is important to have a kickass website, and that includes the whole gamut of front end, back end, and the rest of the works that come with the territory.  So, update your coding skills or start learning to code.
 

Data Scientists: If you love analysing volumes of data – structured, unstructured or semi-structured –  and coming up with appropriate solutions in simple layman terms, then this is the job for you.  A degree in statistics, engineering or math will pave the way for you to enter this field.

Evolving start-ups:  Look out for those start-ups in the fields of education, healthcare, finance and media.  

Occupational Therapists: This healthcare industry is booming, specifically the need for physical and occupational therapists for the elderly especially.

 Translators: If you love the idea of travelling and learning a new language, then this is the job for you.  You could become an independent translator, or work with embassies. Alternately, a lot of software companies among others have a special translation division for their counterparts abroad.
