Suresh Gopi MP has said that there is nothing wrong in allowing Yesudas to visit Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Thiruvananthapuram. "I don't think that he should be denied permission to enter the temple," the actor turned politician said.

"No devotee should be denied permission to enter a temple. However, it is only a personal opinion, and one should be granted entry only if everyone is okay with that. I cannot speak for everyone in this matter," he said.

Meanwhile, the temple authorities have granted permission to the singer to offer prayers before Sree Padmanabhaswamy on September 30 as requested by him.

Yesudas had filed an application before the temple authorities seeking permission to visit the temple. In the affidavit submitted along with the application, the singer had pointed out that he is following the life of a Hindu for several years and was granted permission to enter Sabarimala temple.
