These developments have forced Amal Dev, son of Chandrabose, to write an open letter to Chief Minister.

"We don't expect justice from Kerala Government," Amal Dev told Asianet News.

"We were surprised and afraid to hear that Nisham is included in the list of persons whose sentence could be relaxed. He is leading a luxurious life in jail," he said.

Amal Dev also stated that they had repeatedly asked Chief Minister to appoint C P Udayabhanu as special prosecutor. "However, the government did not consider their plea. The situation was better during the term of UDF government, and the case was going in right direction. Now, the whole family is under fear," he said.

In his open letter, posted on Facebook, Amal Dev states that their repeated pleas went unanswered and this prompted him to write the letter. "Udayabhanu fought the case in lower court. We had met the Chief Minister, twice, and complained against the luxuries enjoyed by Nisham in jail.

Now, all we want is an assurance from the Chief Minister that he won't get parole, and to appoint Udayabhanu as the advocate to handle the case in higher courts," his letter says.
