Thugs with chilli powder rob couple of Rs 3 lakh worth gold

Miscreants forcefully stopped a couple on two-wheeler on Bangarpet road and robbed them of gold jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh. The incident occurred in Kolar, Karnataka.

The couple Venkateshappa and Lakshmidevamma were returning to Toragadoddanahalli from a wedding when the incident took place. Unidentified people stopped their bike at Hulibele Road. They tried to snatch the gold jewellery worn by the couple.

When the couple resisted, miscreants threw chilli powder into the eyes of the couple and snatched the jewellery.

A case in this regard has been booked at Bangarpet Police Station.
