“This time we are the king, not king makers” said JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy. Speaking at a village stay at Bullapura village in Shimoga and at a public meet at Davanagere he said the Party would set right the mistakes committed in the previous 2 elections.  We will definitely win 113 Vidhana Sabha seats and come to power. JD(S) will release the final list of 150 candidates, he said, reported Kannada Prabha.

“From our family only I and Revanna will contest and will not give ticket to anybody else. We have to come out of the tag of being a family Party. Hence we have to take careful steps. Prajval Revanna also wants to contest. We will discuss and take a decision in this regard. There is no differences in the Party or in the family. There is pressure to contest from North Karnataka. I will announce my choice during election” he said.

He also clarified that some are trying to tag him as anti-Lingayat but he is not against any caste.

Meanwhile in Hassan, former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda said people will give a fitting reply to Siddaramaiah’s arrogance and money. Speaking to news persons at Arasikere TB on Thursday he responded to Siddaramaiah’s sarcastic comment about Deve Gowda as a Prime Minister for one and half years and Kumaraswamy as Chief Minister for 20 months, did they not develop – Vikasa?

Gowda said “power is never permanent.  Siddaramaiah must reminiscence about the great visionaries and eminent personalities who governed from the 3rd floor of Vidhana Soudha.  One must have control over speech. I have tolerated enough. People will also not take it quietly. Let him remember what I accomplished in one and half years as prime minister.  Who put a firm foundation for IT, BT and industrial development? Without knowing this is he not ashamed to talk like that?” he quipped.

Deve Gowda also questioned why the Krishna Project that he laid the foundation for is yet to be utilised effectively? Is Siddaramaiah not ashamed to criticise JD(S) Vikasa Yatre and about him? Till today Gowda has not spoken disrespectfully about Siddaramaiah or Yeddyurappa. Silence and patience does not signify weakness. Siddaramaiah must not provoke him, he said.

We know what Vikasa – development - Siddaramaiah is doing with his a Bhagya a day and what he has given to which Swamy, Gowda said.

Meanwhile at Bagalakote the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said Kumaraswamy has alleged that he quit the Party. “I did not quit but I was thrown out of the Party. I was the president of the Party but was sent out”, he said.
