The eight students of the Mysore University have lodged a police complaint against getting sleazy messages and phone calls. The primary investigation has shown that someone had added their numbers in the escort services.
The girls are pursuing their post graduation in the University were in for a rude shock when they got series of calls and messages asking for ‘favours’. After a while, the girls explained their problem to the hostel officials.
The hostel authorities discussed the issue with Registrar Professor R Rajanna. On his direction, the girls have filed a complaint in this regard in the Jayalakshmipuram police station. The case has been transferred to the Cyber Cell.
The cyber police are trying to find out the website which has put up the numbers of the girls and from where did they source the numbers.
