The protests of people from Mumbai-Karnataka region, demanding drinking water from Mahadayi River water, has crossed 1,000 days, but there is no respite for the people yet. Thus, speaking exclusively to senior journalist TS Sudhir for Asianet Newsable, one of the leaders of the agitators, Vikas Soppin has expressed that the anger and disappointment of people over not getting the Mahadayi water will reflect on the election day in Karnataka on May 12. He said that Siddaramaiah had done his bit by appealing for interim talks, but their demand for PM Modi's intervention in the matter, as there is BJP government in Goa, request for Mahadayi water from Goa has not been addressed, said Soppin.
