Ramalinga Reddy expecting his 7th win, but will traditional votes safeguard BJP at BTM Layout?

One of the most prestigious constituencies of Bengaluru, BTM Layout is known as a fast developing constituency. The constituency which came into existence when reclassification was done in 2008 BTM layout ( Byrasandra, Tavarekere, Madivala ) came into existence and since then it is a stronghold of Congress.

Ramalinga Reddy who won continuously for 6 times out of 7, is looking for the 7th win.  Ramalinga Reddy has won two times from BTM Layout constituency.  Now, he is facing BJP's Lallesh Reddy.

Drinking water in all the wards of the constituency, Madivala - Silk Board flyover approval, building  6 skywalks, a maternity hospital in Tavarekere and other developmental programs may help Ramalinga Reddy to win.

The new entrant to politics, BJP's Lallesh's only back up is his relationship with mining baron Reddy brothers and everybody knows about the tactics they use in elections.  Traditional votes have a stronghold in this constituency. This will help Lallesh Reddy.

Lallesh Reddy is talking to each house about the problems they are facing and highlighting the failures of Congress. The farsighted vision of PM Narendra Modi, the achievement of the Central Government, reaching out to the youth has been the election tools for BJP workers and they are canvassing with high spirits.

The constituency has Reddy and Tamil communities, Muslims and  SC/ST communities and is going to decide on election results. Backward community, Christians, Tamilians, Keralites and immigrants from North and North East make up for the majority of the constituency's populace. In some parts of BTM Layout, there is lack of development. JDS and BJP are using this as their tool for campaigning. Even the traffic congestion from Koramangala to Bommanahalli may be a hindrance to Congress. Besides,  this constituency being a low-lying one, during the rainy season, Ejipura, Jakkasandra, Adugodi, Suddaguntepalya, some areas in Madivala gets inundated and water flowing into houses is a common occurrence.

Even this may influence the election results.
