However, this is what happened. Hasan Rahim of Nuthan Nagar at Yallapur in Uttara Kannada district exchanged garland and marriage vow at the Eshwara Temple in the presence of leaders from Hindu organisations.

The wedding ceremony was held according to the Hindu rituals. Hindu organisation leaders Mangesh Kaisere, Someshwara Naika were present as Sriram Sene leader Pramod Muthalik blessed the couple.
