Karnataka Govt lecturers allegedly run Tuition Mafia

Despite the Karnataka Tuition Act rule, which prohibits government lecturers from taking private tuitions and classes, lecturers teaching in various Polytechnique and diploma institutions, run by the government, are taking tutions. An insider from one of the government institutions had complained to the Higher Education Department claiming that over six such lecturers formed a syndicate and are running private tuitions in Vijaynagar, Bengaluru. The Tutions are for students studying in Diploma courses and clearing Diploma In Common Entrance Test can directly get the student admission into second year Engineering. Having learnt about such illegality by govt lecturers, Newsable carried out a raid on the institution and caught Hanumantha Nayak, who is a lecturer at SJ Polytechnique. Nayak refused to give any reaction and sped away in his pulsar bike after seeing Newsable camera
