Is Ambareesh taking revenge for dropping him from the ministry?

  • Ambareesh is not likely to contest from Mandya, despite the Congress party giving him the ticket for Karnataka Assembly Election
  • Is this his way of rebelling against the party for asking him to step down as the minister in 2016?
Is Ambareesh taking revenge for dropping him from the ministry?

Ambareesh, known as the Rebel Star in Kannada film industry, is proving to be a rebel in political life too. There are instances of leaders leaving the party because they did not get the ticket, but unlike them, Ambareesh is not interested in the ticket, which  Congress offered to him to contest from Mandya.

Currently, Ambareesh is the MLA from Mandya. What is stopping Ambareesh from taking up the offer? Is he playing mind games with the Congress?

Ambareesh was stripped off his ministry (Housing) in June 2016. This had led to rumours that he was contemplating quitting Congress and joining JD(S) or BJP. But after a few months, Ambareesh said that he was going nowhere, though he stopped taking keen interest in the party events or happenings.

It is said that Ambareesh wants the ticket for his close associate Amaravathi Chandrashekhar, whereas the members of Mandya City Municipal Council have told the Congress leaders that Chandrashekhar must not be given the ticket.

Is this Ambareesh's way of taking revenge for making him step down as the housing minister, and humiliating Congress by not accepting the ticket the party offered? It is said that he even told KPCC President G Parameshwara that he would not collect the B-Form.
